Japanese Green Sencha with Cherry Blossoms Tea

Inspired by the Japanese cherry blossom festival Hanami, cherries play a big part in Japanese culture and every year there are cherry blossom festivals in Japan to showcase this. Loose leaf Sencha Green tea mixed with blossom from the Japanese Cherry tree (Prunus Serrulata). Produces a flavoursome, almost sweet drink with flavours of sweet, ripe Japanese Sakura cherries and sprinkling of pink rose and peony petals.

instructions for an ideal cuppa

Pop 1 tsp of loose tea per cup into a teapot with an infuser, pour in 200ml water per cup boiled to 55-75 degrees, wait for 2-3 minutes, remove infuser and enjoy.
