Though Penningtons was born in 2018, the history of its founding partners takes in many years’ experience in roasting, sourcing, consultancy, training and machine development within the UK coffee industry. It is this collective knowledge and expertise that has allowed us to rapidly establish a growing customer base that includes some of the country’s top cafés and restaurants. More than anything we want the finest coffee to be enjoyable and accessible to everyone by offering a range of roasts and styles that truly reflects what people want to drink. It would probably be fair to say that Gina, one of our founders was into coffee way before it was cool.
Our mission is to bring you the finest small-batch artisan blends that transform your everyday brew into an extraordinary experience. We specialise in sourcing high-quality coffee beans and specialty teas from sustainable, ethical growers around the world. Using another family run company DR Wakefield who import the speciality green coffee we use.
It takes over 400 man hours to produce just a pound of green coffee beans, it is such a precious commodity that we feel a massive responsibility when having our 12 minutes to work our magic and turn it into liquid gold. Our years of experience and knowledge produce our award winning coffees which in turn you enjoy.
