Treat yourself or a coffee-loving friend to our Barista Skills Experience at the Penningtons Roastery in Kendal. This hands-on 2-hour experience is designed to give you the skills, knowledge and confidence to brew café-quality coffee at home.

Whether you’re new to espresso or already passionate about coffee, we can tailor the experience to your individual needs and level of experience, ensuring you get the most out of your time with us. Want to focus on your espresso technique, milk steaming, your home coffee machine or simply learn more about great coffee? We’ll make sure the experience works for you.

During your Barista Skills Experience, you’ll:

• Enjoy a guided tour of our Roastery, seeing where the coffee magic happens
• Take part in a coffee tasting featuring Penningtons coffees
• Learn how to operate a traditional espresso machine
• Understand the coffee extraction process and how to achieve great espresso shots
• Learn how to steam and foam milk to create silky microfoam
• Have fun creating your own coffee cocktails
• Take home a Penningtons goody bag packed with treats and accessories
• Get plenty of one-to-one guidance, tips and advice throughout the session

Have a portable home coffee machine? Bring it along! We encourage you to bring your own machine so we can help you get the best from it, including personalised advice, calibration and guidance on making great coffee at home.

The voucher is valid for one person and for 12 months from the date of purchase.

Booking Information

The experience is available Monday to Friday, subject to availability. Saturday bookings are available for an additional charge.

To redeem your voucher, please email sales@penningtonscoffee.co.uk or call 01539 728090 to arrange a mutually agreeable date and time. The experience cannot be booked online.

There is no cancellation charge if you need to rearrange your booking — simply contact us and we’ll arrange another suitable date, subject to availability.

Lost your voucher? Don’t worry! We keep a record of all vouchers purchased, so we can verify your booking.
