Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words of which the initial letter is capitalised have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

For the purposes of this Disclaimer:

Company” (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Disclaimer) refers to Penningtons Tea and Coffee Ltd

Goods” refers to the items offered for sale on the Service.

Orders” means a request by You to purchase Goods from Us.

Service” refers to the Website.

Website” refers to the Penningtons website, accessible from https://penningtonscoffee.co.uk/

You” means the individual accessing the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

The following terms and conditions constitute our Delivery and Returns Policy.

Domestic Shipping Policy

Shipment processing times

All Orders made before 1pm are processed the same day, Monday – Friday. Orders after 1pm will be processed the next working day. Orders are not shipped on weekends or holidays.

If We are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of Your Order, We will contact You via email or telephone.

Packaging

Ground coffee and tea subscriptions are posted in letterbox friendly packaging. Other parcels might require someone to be at home to receive them. 

Shipping rates & delivery estimates

Shipping charges for Your Orders will be calculated and displayed at checkout and are dependent on the delivery location, weight and dimensions of Goods ordered.

Occasionally delivery delays can occur which are outside of our control.

Once your order has been processed you will receive a confirmation of despatch email with your tracking information included.

Domestic orders over £35

Orders over £35 are eligible for free delivery to the UK Mainland, Isle of Man, Guernsey*, Jersey*, Alderney*, Sark* and Herm*. Brewing items are excluded from this offer.

* Deliveries to these destinations might be delayed by customs.

Domestic orders under £35

Delivery method: Royal Mail First Class Tracked
Delivery cost: £3.70
Estimated delivery time: 1-2 working days

Delivery method: Royal Mail Second Class Tracked
Delivery cost: £6.70
Estimated delivery time: 2-3 working days

Delivery method: Click and Collect
Delivery cost: Free
Orders may be collected the same day, Monday – Friday.

 

International Shipping Policy

International shipping is calculated at checkout and will depend on the destination country and the size and weight of the Goods. Delivery times will vary depending on the country they are being shipped to and whether they are subject to customs, duties or taxes. All international Orders will be despatched via Royal Mail Tracked within 1-2 working days.

General Delivery Conditions

Shipment confirmation & order tracking

You will receive a delivery confirmation email once your Order has shipped.

Customs, Duties and Taxes

Penningtons is not responsible for any customs and/or taxes applied to Your Order. All fees imposed during or after shipping are the responsibility of You, as the customer.

Damages

Penningtons is not liable for any products damaged or lost during shipping. If You received Your Order damaged, please contact the shipment carrier to file a claim.

Please save all packaging materials and damaged goods before filing a claim and take photos where possible.

 

Returns/Refunds

If, in the unlikely event that you don’t like one of our products, just let us know the reason and we will refund you.

If any of our lovely products get damaged in the post, simply send us a photo at sales@penningtonscoffee.co.uk and we will send a replacement free of charge.
